Community Service & Activities

Red Brush Rifle Range and its members strive to be a positive contributor to the surrounding community. Over the years, our range has been used by 4-H groups, Boy Scout troops, and virtually all branches of the Armed Services for education, training, practice, and qualification. Here are some of the activities in which we've participated:

2009

	Provided range time for Evansville and Newburgh Police Departments and SWAT teams to use in their training exercises (all year long).
	Provided range time for Indiana State Excise Police to use in their training exercises (all year long).
	Provided range time for Vanderburgh and Warrick County Sheriffs' Departments training (all year long).
	Provided range time for Indiana National Guard specialized training.
	Provided range time for District 7 Indiana Conservation Officers for quarterly firearms training and qualification (all year long).
	Sponsoring organization for Venture Scouts Crew 329 (a division of Boy Scouts of America), promoting interest in the shooting sports (all year long).
	Provided hands-on training for Tecumseh Middle School Hunter Education Course (March 2009).
	Sponsored NRA Youth Sports Fest to teach firearm safety to kids, teens, and young adults (June 2009).

2008

	Provided range time for District 7 Indiana Conservation Officers for quarterly firearms training and qualification (all year long).
	Chartering organization for Venture Scouts Crew 329 (a division of Boy Scouts of America), promoting interest in the shooting sports (all year long).
	Provided hands-on training for Tecumseh Middle School Hunter Education Course (March 2007).
	Donated $1000 to Newburgh Police Department's canine fund (March 2007).
	Sponsored NRA Youth Sports Fest to teach firearm safety to kids, teens, and young adults (144 attendees) (June 2007).

	Provided range time for Navy SeaBees for annual pistol and rifle qualification (all year long).
	Provided range time for District 7 Indiana Conservation Officers for quarterly firearms training and qualification (all year long).
	Chartering organization for Venture Scouts Crew 329 (a division of Boy Scouts of America), promoting interest in the shooting sports (all year long).
	Provided hands-on training for Tecumseh Middle School Hunter Education Course (March 2006).
	Sponsored NRA Youth Sports Fest to teach firearm safety to kids, teens, and young adults (140 attendees) (June 2006).
	Provided range time for Alcoa Fire Department, Warrick County Sheriff's Department, and Indiana State Police for training exercises as part of Fire Safety Week. (No guns fired, but Alcoa personnel trained in recognition of potential explosives, as well as some demonstrations by the Bomb Squad.) (October 2006)

	Provided range time for Navy SeaBees for annual pistol and rifle qualification (all year long).

	Chartering organization for Venture Scouts Crew 329 (a division of Boy Scouts of America), promoting interest in the shooting sports (all year long).
	Provided hands-on training for Tecumseh Middle School Hunter Education Course (March 2005).
	Provided range time for Warrick County Sheriff's Department SWAT training, which also included personnel from Gibson County Sheriff's Office, Jasper City Police Department, and Posey County Multi-Agency CERT Team (March 2005).
	Sponsored NRA Youth Sports Fest to teach firearm safety to kids, teens, and young adults (98 attendees) (June 2005).

	Provided range time for Evansville and Newburgh Police Departments and SWAT teams to use in their training exercises (all year long).
	Provided range time for Indiana State Excise Police to use in their training exercises (all year long).
	Provided range time for Navy SeaBees for annual pistol and rifle qualification (all year long).
	Provided hands-on training for Tecumseh Middle School Hunter Education Course (March 2004).
	Contributed $1000 to Warrick County Sheriff's Department for purposes of obtaining and training a new police dog.

	Contributed $100 to D.R.E.A.M. (Duchenne Research Education And Miracle) Foundation, funding medical research for Muscular Dystrophy (September 1999)
	Contributed $200 to local high school libraries to fund subscriptions to outdoor magazines (November 1999).

1998
