Rifle Range and its members strive to be a positive contributor to the surrounding community.&nbsp; Over the years, our range has been used by 4-H groups, Boy Scout troops, and virtually all branches of the Armed Services for education, training, practice, and qualification.&nbsp; Here are some of the activities in which we\u2019ve participated:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2009<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li> Provided range time for Evansville and Newburgh Police Departments and SWAT teams to use in their training exercises (all year long).<\/li><li> Provided range time for Indiana State Excise Police to use in their training exercises (all year long).<\/li><li> Provided range time for Vanderburgh and Warrick County Sheriffs\u2019 Departments training (all year long).<\/li><li> Provided range time for Indiana National Guard specialized training.<\/li><li> Provided range time for District 7 Indiana Conservation Officers for quarterly firearms training and qualification (all year long).<\/li><li> Sponsoring organization for Venture Scouts Crew 329 (a division of Boy Scouts of America), promoting interest in the shooting sports (all year long).<\/li><li> Provided hands-on training for Tecumseh Middle School Hunter Education Course (March 2009).<\/li><li> Sponsored NRA Youth Sports Fest to teach firearm safety to kids, teens, and young adults (June 2009).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2008<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li> Provided range time for Evansville and Newburgh Police Departments and SWAT teams to use in their training exercises (all year long).<\/li><li> Provided range time for Indiana State Excise Police to use in their training exercises (all year long).<\/li><li> Provided range time for Vanderburgh and Warrick County Sheriffs\u2019 Departments training (all year long).<\/li><li> Provided range time for Indiana National Guard specialized training.<\/li><li> Provided range time for District 7 Indiana Conservation Officers for quarterly firearms training and qualification (all year long).<\/li><li> Sponsoring organization for Venture Scouts Crew 329 (a division of Boy Scouts of America), promoting interest in the shooting sports (all year long).<\/li><li> Provided hands-on training for Tecumseh Middle School Hunter Education Course (March 2008).<\/li><li> Sponsored NRA Youth Sports Fest to teach firearm safety to kids, teens, and young adults (138 attendees) (June 2008).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2007<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li> Provided range time for Evansville and Newburgh Police Departments and SWAT teams to use in their training exercises (all year long).<\/li><li> Provided range time for Indiana State Excise Police to use in their training exercises (all year long).<\/li><li> Provided range time for Navy SeaBees for annual pistol and rifle qualification (all year long).<\/li><li> Provided range time for District 7 Indiana Conservation Officers for quarterly firearms training and qualification (all year long).<\/li><li> Chartering organization for Venture Scouts Crew 329 (a division of Boy Scouts of America), promoting interest in the shooting sports (all year long).<\/li><li> Provided hands-on training for Tecumseh Middle School Hunter Education Course (March 2007).<\/li><li> Donated $1000 to Newburgh Police Department\u2019s canine fund (March 2007).<\/li><li> Sponsored NRA Youth Sports Fest to teach firearm safety to kids, teens, and young adults (144 attendees) (June 2007).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2006<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li> Provided range time for Evansville and Newburgh Police Departments and SWAT teams to use in their training exercises (all year long).<\/li><li> Provided range time for Indiana State Excise Police to use in their training exercises (all year long).<\/li><li> Provided range time for Navy SeaBees for annual pistol and rifle qualification (all year long).<\/li><li> Provided range time for District 7 Indiana Conservation Officers for quarterly firearms training and qualification (all year long).<\/li><li> Chartering organization for Venture Scouts Crew 329 (a division of Boy Scouts of America), promoting interest in the shooting sports (all year long).<\/li><li> Provided hands-on training for Tecumseh Middle School Hunter Education Course (March 2006).<\/li><li> Sponsored NRA Youth Sports Fest to teach firearm safety to kids, teens, and young adults (140 attendees) (June 2006).<\/li><li> Provided range time for Alcoa Fire Department, Warrick County Sheriff\u2019s Department, and Indiana State Police for training exercises as part of Fire Safety Week.&nbsp; (No guns fired, but Alcoa personnel trained in recognition of potential explosives, as well as some demonstrations by the Bomb Squad.) Pistol Association to sponsor a youth shooting team (March 2000).<\/li><li> Contributed $100.00 donation to Boy Scout Explorer Post for mail survey (April 2000).<\/li><li> Participated in NRA float in Freedom Festival Parade (June 2000).<\/li><li> Contributed $400 to Friends of NRA Banquet to promote firearms safety (June 2000).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1999<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li> Provided range time for Evansville and Newburgh Police Departments and SWAT teams to use in their training exercises (all year long).<\/li><li> Provided range time for Indiana State Excise Police to use in their training exercises (all year long).<\/li><li> Provided hands-on training for Tecumseh Middle School Hunter Education Course (March 1999).<\/li><li> Contributed $100 to D.R.E.A.M.
